// What Do you Believe?//

I don’t know how many supporters I’m going to lose by this next statement, but the other day I was listening to the Justin Bieber, “Believe” album. (Okay don’t judge me lol) However, the title song on that album “Believe” has really been playing in my head over and over.

The truth is everyone believes in something, a greater truth is whatever you believe, undoubtedly will come true.  There are two things in particular that you have the option of believing.

1.)  You can believe what other’s say about you.

2.)  You can believe what YOU say about you.

1 of these 2 will always outweigh the other.  Whichever one you give the most weight to in you life, will determine the type of life that you will live.  I have fixed my heart on divorcing myself from the opinion of other people.  The only opinion that you should consider is the one that your heart tells you to.

In this song on the Bieber Believe album, he states “everything starts from something, something would be nothing, nothing if your heart didn’t dream…”  I couldn’t agree more with that statement.  The type of life that you dream of having starts with what you believe to be true in your heart.

The truth is there are going to be times where things do go in your favor, times you feel like giving up, moments that are extremely difficult, situations where you family and close friends don’t seem to understand you, and you have to make up in your mind that regardless of what it looks like, and what people say:

I KNOW IN MY HEART WHAT I BELIEVE.

I urge you today family, to believe the best about yourself, about this life, and about others.  Don’t just know that dreams come true, believe it.

Until Next Time,

-Nelson

// Dreams Come True//

The manifestation of this website, and my first book “A Fathers Love or the Lack Thereof” is something that took almost three years for me to see.  The funny thing about chasing a dream is that, you always seem so close to achieving it, yet so far away.

I can’t even count how many release dates that I had for the book, how many blogs I tried to start, and plans that did not come to pass.  Yet there was something in me that would not give up that fought through the writer’s blocks and even though I heard countless “no’s”, I understood it only took one “yes.”

My book not only became my dream, but it became my purpose.  It was this book that kept me from sleeping, and what woke me up in the morning.  There was great understanding that this book would not only help people, but also potentially change a generation.

I’m so excited to bring you a project that undoubtedly is my best foot forward.  Coming this December, I will be presenting you with “A Father’s Love or the Lack Thereof.” A book inspired by my journey of growing up without my biological Father, and the repercussions, consequences, thought patters, dating habits, and life choices that his decision of not being there played in my life. This is an issue that has plagued many, but few have made their personal lives transparent, for others to learn from. I decided to no longer stay silent about an issue that truly needs a voice.

My dream should only inspire you to achieve yours.  If you are willing to give your dream everything you have, fight for it to the end. Then you too can see a dream come true.
